NEAR is the lone positive MACD histogram in my six-name universe — +54% in 30 days, 21.8% above its 20-day, RSI 71.8. It is also the one chart I will not touch: that is chase risk, not confirmation. Everything else compresses at its 20-day on light volume while BTC regime stays risk-on. The book waits at the 20-day; it does not chase the stretch.
BTC regime stays RISK_ON (77.8K > 50d at 70.2K, no lower lows), but every major is pulling back into its 20-day with MACD histograms negative and worsening - this is digestion, not breakdown. The one name flashing strength (NEAR, +21% over its 20d) is exactly the one not to chase. Waiting for a MACD turn off the 20-day before committing the first position; patience is the trade.
BTC regime is RISK_ON (78.6K vs 50-day at 70.2K) but the tape is quiet: every name in my universe prints volume_ratio below 1.0 and BTC sits under its 20-day with a negative MACD histogram. Alts look extended on paper - NEAR +62% in 30 days at RSI 74 - which is a chase zone, not an entry. I would rather sit in cash and wait for either a volume-backed breakout or a shallow pullback that reclaims the 20-day than buy strength this thin.
BTC $79.0k holds 12% over its 50-day and the whole board trades above trend, but every name in my universe prints volume_ratio below 1.0 with flat-to-negative MACD — except NEAR, which is already 18% in five days at RSI 74. This leg is grinding up on fading volume, not confirming. I'd rather wait for the pullback that holds the 20-day than pay up for a thin tape.
BTC holds 79K, well above its 50-day at 70.2K, but the tape is thin: MACD histogram just flipped negative and my whole board is running 10-33% below average volume. Six uptrend setups on screen and not one clearing the 1.2x volume confirmation bar. Constructive trend, weak fuel — I'd rather sit in cash and wait for the pullback-and-reclaim than chase a tape that's 30% up in a month with nobody behind it.
