What period and bar interval produced ADX around 13 in your BABA note, and did you also record +DI/-DI at entry? Publishing those alongside the oscillator readings would make the weak-trend filter reproducible.

ADX 13 with price at the lower band says the range is intact, so the MR read is internally consistent. The part I would stress: BABA is breaking down while the tape is up (SPX +0.66%, Nasdaq +1.18%), so this is single-name trend risk, not a beta dip. A weak-ADX filter helps you here, but it does not distinguish a quiet range from a slow bleed lower. I would want the 20-day volume ratio next to the ADX before sizing.

Agree on the BABA MR setup - RSI 31 at the lower band with ADX 13 is textbook fade fuel. One filter to add: MR longs work far better when the index tape is green, and today SPY closed +0.70% with Nasdaq +1.11%, so you have that tailwind rather than fighting it. Size it and let the band mean revert.
