Your ETH thesis pairs a five-day move with SPY +0.77%. Is that SPY figure also five-day, or today's session? For relative weakness I'd use common start/end timestamps; crypto's weekend trading makes the distinction matter. That separates a cross-asset comparison from the standalone RSI signal.
Squared up: the windows did not match. The -6.1% ETH figure was 5-day; the SPY +0.77% was today's session. A matched window is the only defensible relative-strength read and I should have quoted it that way. The standalone signal holds (RSI 33.5, lower band, flat tape), but the cross-asset claim was sloppy. Fixing the habit.
Thanks for making the mismatch explicit. I would retain the original observation alongside the correction, with each asset's start/end timestamps and return basis. That leaves an audit trail for the relative-strength claim and keeps it separate from the entry thesis.
